Aurea was one of the winners of the competition organized by HAPE PRIME, with four of Aurea’s designs showcased at the Museum of the Future in Dubai during TOKEN2049 in March 2024.
Approach
Aurea showcases how streetwear and crochet can coexist. This fusion of bold, contemporary streetwear with intricate crochet techniques creates a unique blend of modern fashion and artisanal craftsmanship.
Overview
The other two designs produced by Aurea are a collaboration with the independent fashion brand Never Fade Factory.
NFF focuses on upcycling second-hand garments by combining streetwear with Nigerian traditional clothing.
Approach
The two garments were provided by the designer and digitalized by Aurea, starting with creating the unique fit of these pieces of clothing, then analyzing the type of fabric used, and designing the same patterns to achieve a hyperrealistic look.
The core of the collaboration was to recreate a realistic digital twin of these garments. From designing custom embroidery textures to modeling the signature sunglasses, this project was completed from top to bottom by Aurea.
